Both the Aluminium Alloy and Stainless Steel edition of the M11Plus will be available in limited quantities due to the halt production of AK4497. In the future, there might be a new edition of ESS DAC.

So can you shed any light on this yet? I.e. just how limited the availability will be. Will there be availability in the USA (and would I be able to find one at Audio46 or other place(s) in NYC?) or will we have to end up buying online from China? Thanx!

We will make sure each region can get some M11plus and M11plus SS, but now we are not sure the quantity for each region , and I think both should be available on Amazon.

Why not just spend your R & D money on an ESS DAC version and release it in normal qualities?

Quite a long time ago, I read a statement by a FiiO representative on here that they wouldn't have dual card slots in future releases. I forget the reason.

cause we had purchased some 4497 ( about 14000 pcs ）， and the project already finish about 50%, so it is the best option to us.

Dang I just got the M11 Pro and am still in the return period. I'm wondering if I should return it and wait to get this updated version. Love the chips in the M11 Pro already and the bigger battery and android 11 is pretty awesome, though I wonder if it'll be $700 since the m11pro is $650. Only thing I dislike is the removal of the physical wheel for the volume control, otherwise I'm pretty interested in the upgrades.
