Hi Fiio, will be available a 'Music Mode' on M11? One of my preferred X5 III feature is the possibility to hide (or so...) Android in order to have a pure music player with its beautiful and deep sound.
Dear friend,

We will need to assess about that first. Will consider about adding it in later firmware update.

Best regards

Fiio people. Three questions for you?

Pure music mode? Impression above is this is not present. Why? I care little about other apps, just want a music player without android desktop.

UK price and availabiliy?

Havr you fixed the music player to provide 'album artist' as well as ''song artist", becaue they can be different.

Any chance of an EQ for individual songs? It would be awesome to be able to have the EQ automatically change when I'm listening to Rock then switch when I put on Jazz or something.

I am very surprised FiiO chose Android 7 which is more than 2 years old...
I know it takes time and effort to optimize for DAP use, but why not start with at least Android 8 which is 1 year old??

Any plans to upgrade the OS?

From what i've read this wasnt Fiio's choice. If you search the threads there is an explanation of why this happened

Some response from the old X5 III Thread :

It is because Samsung can only released Exynos7872 to us and it is limited at Android 7.0. please understand that DAP is a very very tiny market and no one care about this market among samsung/ qualcomm / intel/ MTK

Plus there's no really a good reason to upgrade to a newer Android version: Every legacy app and streaming util such as Spotify and Tidal should work perfectly with Android 4.4+. Having Android 7 will probably make the player more stable overall.

Tried a demo in Canjam Singapore. I am quite fond of the slight coloration that this DAP gives to my music tbh. It gives my music slightly more life and exaggerates the emotions a bit. There's a slightly more fun tonality and it leans to brightness. Overall the resolution of the audio is decent, competitive with higher priced DAPs and has decently quiet background. UI is also smooth as expected from the Exynos chip.

What about Europe?

Any plans to open or partner with shops that don't over price the products? Or maybe sell via Aliexpress from Europe warehouses?
amp3 usually knocks 10 percent off with code and should ship to europe (god knows whats going to happen after B***** though).

"competitive with higher priced DAPs"

Are you willing to name a few? On par with Shanling M5s?

The same i cold say about m9 sound signature, only resolution perhaps in m11 not so smoothed out. Interesting that till now don't see any real comparison with other models as so much people in china already using this m11.
