Ok, this stupid little device just full pissed me off. I have a nice Peachtree Audio Decco 2. Sounds great right? Get the Fiio M11, I don't know what magic they're using on this but I can hear and distinguish bass lines in my music, even metal, even grungy crap like Alice In Chains. On the Peach I can HEAR theres a bass but usually sounds like it's just someone hitting hte low E and that's it. I can hear every note on the M11.

This is ridiculous. I love it.

Also thanks for giving us the play store. Using a high end DAP like this with the option to USE MY OWN PLAYER IS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER WITNESSED. I CAN USE POWERAMP PRO ON MY DAP. IM SO HAPPY. I've missed using it so much. I've used it since my OG Moto Droid up until I discovered dedicated DAPs.

If you guys never used it, give it a try: https://powerampapp.com/

My only complaint about this thing so far is the lack of decent cases and screen protectors.

Also what about giving us an app drawer? It is android after all. I don't need all these usless icons on my screen or multiple screens with icons I don't need. I hate apple devices for that very reason.

Just an FYI you were able to use Poweramp way before the App Store was added.

I regularly flip between the FiiO stock player and Poweramp. The latters UI is quicker but not as slick and polished plus it forces up sampling instead of playing the tracks native resolution

....and again...
the update / app chrashed with beeping, noisy tone @headphones until device reboot! ...album selected and crashed while title loading...
...no cover caching while scrolling through the database!
@FiiO
Whatta hell are you doing?
Dear user,

Please send the log files to us for check:

When the certain problem happens on the player, please go to " Settings ->About device" , and continually tap“Model number", until the prompt "Have save output log to built-in storage" appears. Then please wait for about 20 seconds, and go to player's internal storage, then send these two log files "XXX-kernel-xx.log" and "XXX-system-xx.log" to us for further analysis.

And remember to inform us the time the issue happened. Thanks in advanced!

You could send the log via email(support@fiio.com) or PM us in Head-fi.

Best regards

Hiiii, good morning

someday i can admit the m11 the 16x MQA ??????????
Dear user,

No, the M11 could not support 16X MQA becuase of the SoC chip limitation.

Best regards

Anyone else having issues with USB transferring with the latest firmware? I used USB before ever updating it and worked fine now it struggles just to transfer album art or it randomly disconnects. WIFI transferring needs a lot of work. I shouldn't have to only transfer files, should be able to transfer entire folders and CHOOSE where i want them to go.

Currently I'm having to pull out the SD card for every transfer.

Is the unit still stuck on Android 7?

It will not go any higher than that, ever.

that's disappointing. I mean, most Android phones get updated to newer versions of the Android OS...

edit: meant phone NOT watch

that's disappointing. I mean, most Android watches get updated to newer versions of the Android OS...

....comparing a watch OS to a phone OS lol.

Newer Androids are heavier on resources than OS 7 are. Won't gain anything from going to a newer system.

If you want the newer android just get a FiiO DAC/AMP portable and plug it into your phone.

What do you expect from an Android Music Player / DAC, that can't be achieved with Android 7?

I simply expect that the O/S driving the DAP has an update cycle...it's not that much to ask. Phone companies do it all the time.

Newer Androids are heavier on resources than OS 7 are. Won't gain anything from going to a newer system.

The DAP has a reasonable amount of RAM and CPU power, it should be able to handle it. My Oppo A9 2020 has a similar spec and runs Android OS without issue.

Not offering O/S updates is just slack and poor support imho.
