@JamesFiiO hinted that a M11pro with upgraded DAC and THX technology is in the works...but only if you really want it. The THX tech is interesting because it offers oodles of power but lower power consumption (which should equal better battery life and other benefits. If you want it, let them know.

I missed my window to buy off AliExpress :frowning2: oh well I'll wait until they get released in Canada.

I'm not sure this has been replied to, I think not. I am fairly certain that only if the M11 has BT 5.0 will it allow 2 devices to connect concurrently. It has 4.2 according to the website.

I am fairly certain the M11 will not allow therefore, Dual Audio, as it's called.

I think the misunderstanding (its been like 4 or 5 people who asked afterwards) comes from talking about 3 different batches:

    -Test batch
    -First batch
    -Regular production batch

I guess those who bought the AliExpress ones are in the second case.

    Cheers.

the 4.4 should better cause it has better connected , of course most people can't find the different. also inside the M11, the 2.5 and 4.4 are connected to the same op amp output.

there are only two batch, trail batch, not for sale, mass production, for end customer. of course, no one can promise that there are not any different in the hardware in the future cause it is quite normal to change some small design . in fact, we are plan to cancel one of the TF slot in the future cause it is not original from Exynos7872 so the speed and compatibility are different with the original TF slot from Exynos7872.

anyway, we have not any m11 on our shop on Aliexpress , and maybe we can ship to our agents outside China in May.

I listened to some Living Stereo recordings today on the balanced out/HE400i pairing. Wow. Serious wow. Like being there.
This really has completely reinvigorated my 400i's, which I thought were on the shelf semi-permanently.

Random side note - one of the theme options allows you to have the 'now playing' album art as the background to your whole UI in Fiio Music, with controllable opacity and blur. Really nice, especially when changing to a new track and seeing the background change accordingly!!!

The 2 slots were a selling point for me. So future m11 will only have 1? That means more expensive cards to get more space, whereas 2 256 cards are relatively cheap. I have over 10k ripped cds (flac) and really want a future-proof dap for the space. :frowning2:
But, more importantly, is there a file size LIMIT on the m11? (up to 20,000 tracks or such)?

^Seconding the importance of that double SD slot. I assumed from @JamesFiiO 's post that he meant they were going to use a different component, but if Fiio is considering migrating to single slots, please don't! Double slot is where it's at.

There are very few 2 slot machines around. If I recall Fiio had to do some additional software changes with Android, to drive a second slot on the X5, something not seen by many third-party music apps I tried on my 3rd gen.
For me, two slots are currently where I want to be, however, the 1TB cards are now out. By the time the next gen of music players are out, the need for 2 card slots may be less important. The memory cards will drop in price.

My personal opinion is the player suppliers, like Fiio, need to supply more onboard storage in the first place. These are music players which will typically house many music files. I have 22,000 songs across 2 x 400GB cards. I would happily sacrifice one of those for more built-in memory.

Storage is relatively cheaper today, so I believe every new DAP should have at least 128GB of onboard storage.

I remembered that the 20,000 tracks limited had been solve in 2 years ago.

    @JamesFiiO
I received my M11 yesterday, thank you. Enjoying this bulky big boy so far. My main complain for now is a noticeable sound delay when working as a USB DAC. Is it something that you will be still working on and can be fixed by firmware update?

Could you post your impresions on terms of sound, and smoothness while using the FiiO Music App, Spotify and Tidal?
