Ok so if you dont agree with what that person believes then you chose to label him stupid ? Hence only one person knows what you like and thats you. If you need need others opinion then you are a follower.

Please not that the ID @FiiO is in charge by our stuff but they may not have the ability to reply all the question , especially about some technical issues so we create a thread , in there all our PM will take some time to reply any technical question and any suggestion. here is the link:

    about your question.

1, ALL 2 DSD will change the PCM to DSD128.

2, It is done by the Soc but not the FPGA,

    3, AK4493 supports DSD decode.

Is it just me or the songs are not perfectly alphabetically arranged when sorting to that option?

This is using fiio music app btw.

No you completely misunderstood my point. I was commenting specifically on the ‘bass overwhelming the sub-bass’ comment that @abitdeef and @Hawaiibadboy pointed out, that’s all. As for being a ‘follower’, we are all here to learn from each other but ultimately can only decide for ourselves based on what our ears tell us. To that end I enjoy speaking to and learning from others who have more experience and similar taste in music. If that makes me a follower than so be it.

Oh boy. And having albums with multiple discs its a mess. The worst thing is that things like this or the wrong character set thing agree literally 1 minute fixes...
  8. lesale08
Maybe we can request @FiiO to fix this on their new update.

That is, if a reviewer's words didn't make sense at all, I'd look elsewhere for reference.

Maybe. But when I had the M9 and the M6 there was a lot of people asking in the official forums and even getting replies from the staff which basically hinted at you should either rename the files or tag them incorrectly... thing that I dont understand, with James himself lurking here and there. Those are really easy things to fix, and important things.

About the reviews from sources like Bad Guy Good Audio, and most reviews (not including some good reviews posted here by fellow headfiers): Do you guys even care? I mean, most of them are focusing on a really fluid GUI and even on the animations. I mean its alright that you mention that, but 15 mins out of a 20 mins video looking "how fast this thing is"? And the rest of the video talking about how cheap it is. Come on... Also, guys. The M11 kicksass but never forget: Use your DAP to listen to your music, not the other way around.

And buy decent headphones / skip watered down (ie < 320kbps) MP3 files! :D

And dont listen to female singers playing a piano.

Good advice - although UI and speed are two of my top 5 criteria (alongside SQ and build). I also wish reviewers would specifically mention the headphones/IEMs they use for their reviews because that makes by far the biggest difference to sound. You can review the same dap with three different IEMs and get three different reviews.

At last AMP3 in UK had stock yesterday so ordered one and should arrive Monday latest.

Without reading through last months worth of updates I have a few questions:

    • Will be aiming to use 2 x 512GB Samsung EVO microSD's I have. Will these two be OK or anybody had issues?
    • Will it prompt me to update to latest firmware or do I need to search it out?
    • Will earphones with inline controls still work as per the X5III (assume its only the 3.5mm connection if it does)?
    • Anybody managed to get Google Playstore working? Only really interested in this to use UAPP?
    • Does it come with a screen protector already installed like the X5III?
    • Any talk of adding MQA support yet or will this only be via Tidal with the single unfold?

I will only be using this with my 2 x pair of SE846's. One wired (3.5, 2.5 or 4.4) and the other pair via my Fiio BTR3 with short cable over LDAC.
