I’d say the low end is more ‘reference’ than the warmer M9. If there’s bass in the file, the M11 will deliver in full, but it won’t add bass where there is no bass. Personally I don’t rely on the source/dap for tuning, it’s more important that it’s resolving and accurate. The IEM/headphone makes a MUCH bigger difference. If you like bass, use a bass-tuned IEM or headphone and the M11 won’t stand in your way. The sound is a few steps up in both resolution and refinement from the M9.
Thanks for quick reply. This is i wanted to hear. I really like tranparency and seems m11 is better there also going from m9. So will wait till my order come to me

I just found out my m11 will be delivered today instead of tomorrow. Damn dhl international is fast! I will do a quick compare with dx220.also. I love dx220 but I've got a ton of weird wma files that crash dx220, so even if it's (dx220) a bit better I may keep m11 if it can play them, and it should because dx220 is the only dap that hasn't so far.

Unless the difference in sound quality is really noticable then I may keep 220 and hope that an upgrade fixes it- they are very odd wma files, no one else seems to have problems with theirs....

Anyways I look forward to checking it out.

I'm in love with FiiO's M6, so I liked their direction even before :)
It still surprises me, how they managed to put so many features to device that I can carry on my keyring

Actually I have m6 as my 'active' dap and I love it. It can be a little sluggish with tidal but the interface is nice and snappy the sound is good for a tiny dap, and bluetooth ldac works great with it for me with Sony wireless buds.

I agree, it packs a lot in a tiny package.

Also I'm glad the m11 isn't warm like the x5iii, that one was a bit too warm even for my tastes.

Simply put FH7 are the best sounding IEMs I have ever tested, to me they sound better than FA7, than JH13PRO, than IE800 and IE800S and much better than SE846.
I lost my words when I put them on...OMG would be the best description.
Thanks for the output! Do you have a review of the FH7? If you don't will you make one with detailed differences between them and the FA7?

The child of m11, he's a little slower and weaker but he's so cute :)

You guys realise that as soon as everyone here has the M11 and FH7 in the bag, FiiO will announce the M13 and FH9? :sunglasses:

Lol, don't tell anyone but I'm still waiting for a Sony that does streaming  I'd also like a smaller super powerful fiio dap, like a turbo charged m6, with balanced and fast processor like m11- one can hope:)
