What’s the advantage of two dacs? My at has 1 dac. Does it matter? So many questions

Unless it hasn’t been answered previously.

The BTR5 has a single ended (3.5 mm) output and a balanced (2.5 mm) output.

Single ended output uses only one DAC because it provides only needs a left and right signal and shares a common ground to each driver.

Balanced output require two DACs because it provides two signals to each driver. Each driver gets both the normal signal from the single ended DAC and, instead of the common ground, each driver also gets an inverted signal from the second DAC (180° out of phase to the first).

This doubles the strength of the signal, reduces the crosstalk by eliminating the common ground and, contrary to common belief, actually reduces any noise picked up by the cable (known as common mode rejection) — any noise will be seen as DC and be ignored by the driver (I could explain further but my brain is hurting). Given how little noise short cables will pickup actually makes the noise rejection benefit a moot point anyway.

Just ordered fiio btr5 and fiio lc 2.5d for the fh7.

How powerfull is the btr5? Can it drive the beyerdynamic dt1770 pro and amiron home?

I don't know about the Beyerdynamic's but it can adequately play through the balanced my HD650's (300 ohm) and My Modhouse T50rp with the balanced cable mod (unknown ohm but probably around 150).

I highly recommend it. Balanced sources would seem to be usually of higher power. The Modhouse responds well to that. I have a 2nd non-modified T50RP. The difference is dramatic (as far as my subjective ear holes would could tell). Ryan takes forevaaaaaah to fill the backlog. It's worth the extra $50 8*)

Just got an update that the btr5 is out of stock But i have the dragonfly cobalt.Is the btr5 just as good sounding as cobalt?

Hi is there a way to do Hard Reset. I have a problem with battery. I fully charge it an if I use it for ten minutes the battery goes to 60%.

You could hard reset the BTR5 by holding the power button for about 15s. Did you try to charge the BTR5 using another charger and cable? And you could test the battery life according to the condition shows in our website:

Can I ask how is the Bluetooth signal/range on your BTR5?

Mine can't go more than 5m away on open field. A glass window in between and it drops with 2m.

@FiiO Could you please help with the rated Bluetooth range for the BTr5 and TWS1?

I have both and they are completely different in signal range. TWS1 being at least 3x better.
