Too fast, the bass is enough, it's just sounds like drum, when edm bass should've been more prolonged.Too dry for EDM? you mean the bass is lacking or the decay is too fast?

I pulled the trigger on the FH7s. However, I am worried about "dryness" people are complaining about. I listen to my HD 650s most times. They are quite "wet" and organic. I would be disappointed if they were very "dry" sounding. Can someone help me here?
I listen to my HD650's quite a bit too and love the FH7's. I listen to acoustic jazz quite a bit and the stand up bass sounds beautiful with the FH7.

I got them today. I wasn't expecting the sound to be this refined. My early impressions are they are very airy and clean. The bass doesn't seem to be boosted and it is quite neutral and fast with the source I use. The mids are clean and spacious. The treble is extremely refined and very airy. I didn't find them harsh at all, but I also didn't find them warm. It is on the airier side of the spectrum. I am burning them in. Let's see how much it impacts the sound.

Big step for me.
I have read and researched a lot before buying. (especially this topic and head-fi rewievs)
Above my expectations.
A great improvement even for my inexperienced ears.
Hopefully, mine will arrive today.

I'il try and let you know.
I tested it on two of my test songs.
Celine Dion-Loved Me Back to Life 24 / 44.1
Celine Dion-A New Day Has Come 1bit / 2822.4
Vol lvl: N3-65 = M11-75
Cable: FH7 stock LC3.5C SE
Unfortunately, I have little experience and technically not enough to compare.
The difference is not so obvious to me. Of course I get a cleaner sound from M11. The sound scene is a bit wider. M11 is a bit more 3D-like.
