Dear friend,

The maximum diameter of FH5 is 6.5mm. It's recommended to choose 5.0mm eartip if you're planning to buy foam eartip and choose 4-6mm eartip if you're planning to buy silicone eartip. Theoretically, the smaller the aperture of the eartip is, the more bass you could get, and the larger the aperture is, the better pitch you could get. PS: For reference only.

Best regards

I also found this to be true, also, larger tips increase soundstage size, at least in my experience.

Just gotten the FH5, IMHO very musical sounding so far. :smile_phones:

Lucky you, congrats. I have F9 paired with Cayin N5iiS and quite like them, but ordered LC-2.5C cable waiting for it and also thinking about trying FH5 at the store to compare the sound with what I already have.

Selling my LC-2.5C cable over in the classifieds if anyone is interested. Works really well with the FH5.

So if works really well, why selling

@FiiO Will the new batch of FH5 with longer nozzle be out on amazon before christmas? I'm thinking of letting my friends listen to them at our christmas party hha
Dear friend,

Thank you for the kind interest on our product.
As James mentioned before, we need more time to evaluate the SQ of the new design.

Best regards

What's the main reason to drive the nozzle change on FH5?

I think some users find the nozzles too shallow with the tips they like to use. I’m busy experimenting with tips myself - I don’t mind the shallower nozzles but it looks like I’ll have to find grippy foam tips that go in an stay in if I want a good seal (without which I find bass is nonexistent).
