When I want to use the balanced output on an amp and the cable of my IEMs is a 3,5mm headphone jack, is it enough to use an 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter or do I need a new cable with a balanced 2.5mm?

Absolutely do not use an adapter from SE to balanced. It wont work and it can damage your amp.

You need a new cable, my recs are the faaeal litz copper cable, Tri Through and the Kbear Rhyme.

As @RikudouGoku says, don’t... it is ok to go from a balanced cable through an adapter to an SE connector/jack. It is not ok, and will almost certainly damage your amp, to go from an SE cable through an adapter to a balanced connector/jack.

if you get the BTR5 (or most amps with balanced) it is a big loss in potential if you arent using a balanced cable. There is a big output power difference between SE and balanced on most amps that have both.

Thanks for your help guys. I ordered the Qudelix 5K and a FiiO 2.5mm balanced cable and I'm quite excited.

So one last question (I know it's very off topic here, sorry). I often use my IEMs with my Denon AVR with a 6.3mm headphone jack.

When I use a pair of headphones with a 2.5mm balanced cable, do I have to change the cable to a unbalanced 3.5mm to use the 6.3mm headphone jack on the Denon?

Or is a cable like the FiiO LC-RE with the swappable audio plugs the best option?

You can use an adapter to go from balanced to SE (in this case 2.5mm to 6.3mm) just make sure never to try to use an unbalanced cable with a balanced output via adapter.

Finally got mine and spent more than 10 hours listening to them. I must say Im quite impressed with the sound quality considering the price. I've tried 500+ euros IEMs that sound worse, at least for me.
Althought they are a bit V shaped, the sound is good balanced, bass is delightful and there's not piercing highs, at least for my ears.
You need an amp to get the best of them tho. First I used them on mi Xiaomi Mi10 and they were ok. Using them on the Fiio BTR5 with a balanced cable (TRN3 silver cable) was really a step ahead and the sound got clearer, specially the highs, plus the bass got punchier and more defined. With my soundblaster XG6 I couldnt even pass 8% volume on low gain.

If you are looking the best bang for your buck on IEMs, look no further.

Try swapping tips with the FH3, they are quite sensitive to ear tip changes. From quite sedate sounding to nice sparkly mid/highs.
And, of course, that easy-going bass with remarkable low extension is quite addictive!

Yeah Im trying other aftermarket tips soon. At the moment Im using the black and red silicone tips, Im not basshead but man, that bass feels really good.

I like them both for different reasons---but the FH3 is definitely more fun and addicting for casual listening.....BUT, my pair has the same QC issue others have reported; the sound in the left ear is quieter.
