Three years ago, the triple diver hybrid earphones F9 was released, which has brought FiiO- branded earphones to HiFi class. Three years later in today, the classic driver hybrid earphones are once again upgraded comprehensively. Now, we would like to introduce our new member, the new second-gen triple driver hybrid earphones【FH3】to you.

Acoustically, the 10mm beryllium-plated diaphragm dynamic driver in the FH3 was specifically chosen for its thunderous yet lightning-quick bass performance with outstanding dynamic ranges and transient responses. Besides, the 2 Knowles balanced armatures placed closer to the ear reduces unwanted treble reflections that reach one's ears, ensuring minimal loss of treble details and thus making for more pleasant listening. As for the included high-purity monocrystalline silver-plated copper cable (LC-3.5B), it was carefully chosen for its fidelity and ability to resolve details, being noticeably better than the typical earphone cable. Your music will sound sublime with the included cable, which brings the best out of the FH3's drivers.

Even being upgraded all the way around, the FH3 continues the same design language as the others in the FH series of earphones. The all-new further refined water ripple design faceplate of the FH3 gives it robust strength while looking elegant. The various curves of different angles of the FH3 seamlessly blend into each other, attracting everyone's eyes. And through data on thousands of people's ears as well as going through more than 10 rounds of trials and iteration, an extremely comfortable design for the FH3 was created, softly fitting in the ears.

Key features of the FiiO FH3 include:

* Knowles BA drivers

* Beryllium-plated dynamic driver

* S.TURBO acoustic design

* Balanced pressure relief technology

* Expanded MMCX connectors

* High-purity silver-coated monocrystalline silver-plated copper cable

* Aerospace-grade aluminum-magnesium alloy shell

Reserved. Just in case I buy 'em

Amazon, U.S. $129 (link)
Fiio vs Fiio.jpg

Very quick summary:
(24 hrs. on both)
Spotify Premium --> Note 4 --> Radsone ES100 --> SE cable

Sub bass, within a hair of one another. The ever so slight nuance could be attributed to either acceptable production tolerances with the DDs or the FH3 may need more time in the oven. As the crossover would limit the amount of signal being sent to the DD, in the FH3

Vocals, FH3 is the clear winner (as expected). Clearer and more presence. Enough to notice, but if you already have either the FD1/EA1, the upgrade would have to factor in the cost vs. benefit.

Mids are clear on both sets, but due to the BAs (on the FH3), the nod goes to the FH3

Treble, unable to properly test. As my right ear decided to be a Primadonna today and be overly sensitive.

The FH3 definitely needs added power. Plugged directly into my phone, the overall playback was thin/distant. No bueno

Now this is interesting knowing how good the FH1S and jade audio EA3 and FD1.
Combination of both (beryllium dynamic + knowles BAs) with additional 1 more Knowles BA.
Looks good!!

Is it really gonna go back to MMCX or is that an old render?

All of Fiio's current IEMs that have a retail price above $100 use MMCX connectors, so I'm sure these will too.

Not just upgraded in configuration, but acoustically, the FH3 made good use of FiiO's patented S.TURBO acoustic technology. The longer and smoother turbine-inspired sound tubes effectively filter unwanted high frequencies, giving deeper and harder-hitting bass performances. In order to achieve more comfortable listening, the FH3 utilizes FiiO's patented balanced pressure relief technology, to balance the air pressure in the front and rear chambers, thus ensuring music dynamics are not distorted and thus making for stress-free listening.

Price and release date?
" FiiO classic hybrid earphones are once again fully upgraded! " + "... good use of FiiO's patented S.TURBO acoustic technology "
Based on the two references to the FH series ($259 - $450 USD) and the naming convention (FHx), I'm going to hazard a guess, that the FH3 will not be part of Fiio's recent push into the sub $100 category. :triportsad:

FH1S was $60. No reason the FH3 can't be around $100. The other ones are more expensive yes so it could go that way but they have been going cheaper as of late. FH1S not more than the previous FH1 and perhaps this won't be more than the last triple hybrid F9 Pro. If they follow that route of improving but dropping a little that would slot the FH3 in at $119. That Tape, L3, Starfield, etc. range is something they really might want to fill.

I would prefer to be proven Demonstratively wrong, at $79 USD. :beerchug:
