Are you planning on making the FH1 in a pro variant with metal shell and different accessories etc?

Same residue on the nozzle in my unit also. May be they come out soon.

I just ordered a pair and will report back on my findings. Are you both not sure if it's patina? Brass patinas and that might be what you're seeing.

I use the standard tips. I initially started out with the small bass tips but it went to pot after a couple of weeks and I had to step up to the medium standard tips. I guess my ear holes grew. I lost a bit of bass so then went on to the medium bass tips, these were awful until I put the foam from small comply tips under the flange, this stopped the ends collapsing and ruining the sound. This is what I've settled with. The bass is amazing, there is a slight lack of mids and treble but these really are spot for what I listen to. For sub £80 they are great. I think you'll struggle to beat them unless you spend over £200.
