I absolutely love the FD1. For me, the FD1 has a near ideal tuning. It has my favorite tuning of all of my (too many) IEMs. It just needs a bit more soundstage depth and a bit more detail to be "end game". I would assume that the FD5 will be all of that and more. There were reports that the FD5 would be over $500. $350 is my maximum for an IEM. Thankfully, the FD5 fits my allowable expenditure limit. I will purchase the FD5 this week. I will report back to the community after I have some quality and quantity time with it.

Actually it looks quite different from the FD1

(grey line = harman)


Seems to be bassier than harman and also with a lower pinna gain.

That is weird. if you took a poll who would want the dome to be BE and DLC on the outside? Most are hot for Be bass and the DLC is gonna do the bass. Interesting or a little less interesting to me now. DLC bass hasn't really done it for me.

Single dynamic driver semi open ( no driver flex hopefully unlike my atlas ! ) stylish look swappable cables multi termination , tick tick tick tick tick ! I have very high hopes for these.
