Question-None of my music players have a balanced output. Is there an adapter that can be used so I can use the balanced cable into typical music player output (like phone or Fiio X3II again not balanced). I generally like the look and feel of the balanced cables vs the controls cable (that I would never use) provided by Fiio.

Also did they ever sort out the connection issue? Seems like the cables weren't fitting securely and leaving a gap.

Thanks in advance!!!
Sorry....
There is no way around this...
The only way to get balancef sound is using a balanced source.....(dap or amp/dac)...
You need balanced circuitry (that means 2.5 jack out) directly from a source in order to beneficially use a balanced cable..
X3ii or a phone cannot be used this way because they dont get to have balanced citcuits...
Do not spend any money on adaptors
It wil be a waste of money....

FiiO makes this, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N10RBPW/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1UAUD4OOZKPDA&colid=CPYL97NAA8AX&psc=0
I have one, works fine, but obviously not balanced any more.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I wasn't clearer- I was just looking to use the balanced cable itself as it is a higher quality cable knowing that I would not get balanced output from my setup.

@FiiO

Do you have any plans to make a short balanced cable, like the 60cm SE mmcx cable you offer?

I would be interested.

Many thanks

I know, but not short balanced ones .

I keep my DAP in my top shirt pocket and don't want to have masses of wires trying to strangle me

You can commission a cable maker such as Ted Allen custom-create any length MMCX Balanced cable for you. Here’s his info:

Good luck!

Probably any 3rd party cable maker, but Ted’s service is legit, so I prefer recommending companies who I know without a doubt will take care of their customers very well.

My inline cable went out on me after 6 months of great service. What replacement inline cable(3.5mm) is everyone suggestion I look at that is of the same or better quality that works with Android(Pixel specifically)?

You can try the Brainwavz cable with mic and remote, here:

https://www.brainwavzaudio.com/coll...t-cable-mmcx-connector-with-microphone-remote

Or go for the Shure mic remote cable, here:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N...+mic+cable&dpPl=1&dpID=31Q8Q5CJbdL&ref=plSrch

Keep the one that works, and/or return the one that does not work.
