Hey guys, I just had a few questions. Right now, I have my HD 598 connected to my headphone jack on my tv ( terrible sound quality). Any time i connect my e7 to my ps3 or 360 i get no sound output. My question is how do i connect my HD 598, my FiiO E7, and my PS3. If it matters, my ps3 is connected to my tv via hdmi, and my 360 to my tv via component.
You can't connect the E7 to your PS3 directly (via usb). Won't work.
The PS3 has a optical out for sound that you can use with e.g. a Fiio D3 to convert optical into RCA and then use a rca to line in (3.5mm) to your E9 and into your headphones. I just doubt this makes so much sense. It is also important that you have to set the PS3 sound options to output only stereo sound via optical out, as the "audio" DACs cannot work with any kind of surround sound.
