I hope it's ok to revive this thread from the dead.
I just ordered dt770 250Ohm cans and I'm thinking of getting a more powerful amp.
I currently have a E07K which I will use as my DAC for the foreseeable future regardless of my amp choice, so I'm currently considering either a E09K or a Schiit Magni 2 (I would use a L7 dock for a line out from E07K to the Magni 2).
Is it crazy to get the E09K when it's already been out for a few years and has basically been discontinued? What advantages would there be to a newer setup? As far as I'm concerned, the downsides of a newer amp are having to get the L7 dock and cables in addition to the amp, if i get the E09K it'll basically be plug n play.
Any insight would be appreciated.
