Due to a small hardware issue discovered near the launch of DM13, we had to change its launch date to after China's National Day holiday, which is around mid-October. For overseas users, we may not rush to send it to your local agents in various places. Instead, we sell limited quantities on AliExpress to meet the needs of a few people. For most people, we still recommend waiting until local agents arrive before purchasing.

hope fiio will improve button design for all future products.

physical buttons are meant to be pressed without looking at. the design like a small dot on the button like sony walkman enable user to operate it blindly.

Sorry, that I have to say that, but in my view that's a deal-breaker - which is quite a pity, as except for that design flaw the DM13 would appear to be a pretty interesting and nice product. But without a comparatively easily replaceable battery it's much less attractive, as it'll automatically turn into a throw-away product in a few years.

I agree, they could have made the battery user-replaceable. A shame, because the size/format of this player seems attractive otherwise.

After 2027 European portable batteries legislation will require portable battery-operated equipment to have easily user-replaceable batteries (if they want to sell them in Europe). So I would wait until the DM13 has proven itself to be a good reliable and user-friendly player, and then buy whatever the new model is coming out in or after 2027.
The only exemption allowed to this law is based on a minimum battery performance specification IF the device also meets certain water resistance specifications (the latter will be very hard to do for a portable CD player, so I would expect to see user-replaceable batteries in FiiO's portable CD players from 2027 onwards.)

Not sure people are patient enough to wait over years for a product that might not exist… depends how well this sells will dictate whether they keep going with it

I’ve opted to give this a try. I unfortunately don’t have too many CD’s left. I’ve only kept one I’d never let go of. You can buy job lots of CD’s for little money now and I think that’ll be a good way of finding new (old) music… a kind of old school music discovery method!

Edit: Decided to go Shanling CR60 as I can rip to my M1 Plus

Can you guys let us know what color the case for the DM13 with the translucent lid is? Looking at the pictures, I can't till is the case itself matches the white or silver cases that you offer? Or maybe it's a 3rd color?

Currently only the white one is planned to be a transparent version, no other color is planned to be a transparent version now.
