[FiiO BTR17/BTR7] True Lossless Bluetooth, Portable Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier BTR17 Is Officially Released!

My problems cleared up after de-selecting all the other codecs in the fiio control app. When all options were available it kept trying to default to SBC.
I also got a license for LDAC for my Windows 11 laptop and it works, only will have to drop $5 for the license on 01DEC24.
When my 0.51 BTR17 is in bad mood, if I only allow LDAC I end with SBC. If everything is allowed, aptx-hd is chosen but it tends to crack. only a factory reset gives me LDAC back... temporarily.

Sorry for this trouble. You turn on the Bluetooth HD audio in your smartphone in the Developer options like my xiaomi phone as below?

Your new firmware download zip file gets blocked by Windows 11 as containing a virus

Wacatac and "ml" is a common false positive. The "ml" comes from machine learning. Just because the file was not really seen before, it thinks it could be malicious, that's all that this means.

It doesn't mean that Defender actually detected a virus.

Maybe you can try to turn it on to test.
so,
1. I started the day with a routine factory reset. LDAC was working, quiet but ok. HD Audio flag enabled.
2. hours went on fine, and I powered it off for 15 minutes.
3. powered back on. very quiet APTX-HD, HD Audio flag still enabled.
4. curse silently
5. powered off and on a couple of times. same thing
6. I disabled every protocol except LDAC on fiio control. now I'm on SBC.
7. powered off and on a couple of times. same thing
8. rant at head-fi.org
9. factory reset again. forget device, pair. LDAC is working, and the HD Audio flag gets enabled automatically.

On the other hand, when you go from a track with a sampling frequency hedge (192kHz for example) at a track with a much lower sampling frequency (44.1kHz), I have a fairly noticeable parasitic noise when the track changes I don't have that with my other dongles. On the other hand I had seen concerns of white noises in this kind of case on the threads of Mojo 1 and 2). Is this normal? Is it dangerous for iems?

This is happening to me also. There is def a software issue with LDAC. disabling other codecs but ldac actually loses ldac. Also I need to toggle ldac on every time I connect. the btr7 never had this issue.
