Hi,

It's hard to understand why users are in such a hurry to upgrade their products. For those who don't have a btr7 in their hands it's logical that they want to buy a btr17 because it is really a quality product with a lot of potential. I've already said (and I'm not the only one who says so) that right now it's not worth upgrading from the btr7 to the btr17, maybe in about 6 months it will be worth it. And it probably wouldn't be necessary to upgrade if you only use BT mode with battery (not USB), because the aptx lossless codec will still take at least 1 year to be widely supported. And maybe that codec could fall into oblivion like it happened with HD and Adaptive because nobody uses it. Is LDAC 32B 92Khz 990KBps better than Aptx lossless 16B 44Khz 1200Kbps? I think yes because there's more space... Everyone should draw their own conclusions.

Greetings.

I got the 0.51 firmware upgrade online today, no update log so not sure what’s changed.

I really hope the desktop mode from battery can be added later (even if it only lasts 2h). At the moment it’s less convenient than the KA17 for desktop given I now need 2x USB cables for that!

On PEQ, the FAQ says the BT EQ has to get set via FiiO control, whereas the wired one can be set through the web control interface. From my use it looks like the one I set wired through the web also exists when I use FiiO control.

Have you done a full drain/full charge and a factory reset?
So I used it until it turned itself off, then fully charged and powered on... and... 0%. Then I did a factory reset. 0%. Factory reset again... and still 0%. Then I re-watched act 3 of Arcane... and... you guessed it, still showing a red battery and 0% in fiio control. 🤣

In my case I'm still a happy user of the BTR15 (after years using a BTR5) but I got myself a hifiman edition xs and I thought the BTR15 wouldn't be capable of driving it so I chose a BTR17 over a KA17 at the same time.
To my surprise, in high gain the BTR15 actually does 🤷🏻‍♂️

🤣 well this next 0.51 update should help. You could still monitor the % in the app though right?

I had exactly the same problem. Then I used the BTR17 about 4 hours like that at 0% before recharging it. I activated battery protection. The gauge finally displays 80%.I think it does when you completely unload the BTR17. I did it to calibrate the battery because new. To see in time

This update appears to fix noise and battery indication issues

Ok, hang on. Same thing happening with mine if I enable LE audio, I need to re-pair.

Edit: Switched to LDAC with Bluetooth Codec Switcher and same, it's quiet.

I'm listening at 40 volume in a quiet environment, this will not work outside at all (phone volume 100%, high gain).
I'm kind of disappointed, I hope this is fixable with a firmware update cause I will use this device 99% over Bluetooth not wired.

Also, it appears there's no AAC support from what I can see. I personally do not care but Apple users got screwed I guess.
Hi, BTR17 doesnt support aptX LL.
