Having a great session right now with the Pioneer SE Monitor 5 driven via the 4.4mm input of the AM3D. Sounds absolutely fantastic. The amp certainly has great control over the drivers with plenty of speed and everything sounds just right. It is just hard to believe that this amazing sound comes from a portable device like the Q5. Amazing.

Why do you charge US state sales tax when selling from China?

With the increased price and sales tax, the price was too high, IMHO.

That sounds about right. I had read the specs early on somewhere but I can't remember exactly where.

I wonder if @FiiO has a THX K-series desktop dock/amp with a 4-pin >1ohm headphone output planned down the line. I love the K5 so a K7 would be killer. I'm really not a fan of buying from monoprice or massdrop and Fiio is usually responsible for making that possible on a reasonable budget. Fingers crossed.

I would really love to hear a comparison between the AM3D amp module and the THX Monoprice portable amp (which I have). That unit is very good sounding and I am excited to hear how the dual THX amps sound in balanced mode! Anyone have both?

My 3d just got got here a day early and I'm thoroughly impressed thus far. Been using my Pandora hope VI balanced and can notice an immediate improvement from the AM3a. I won't wax intellectual about the nuances between the two but it is a noticeable improvement. Songs I played that really struck me were Kiss In Blue by Yello and State Of The Art by Gotye. Can't wait for my balance cable for my Cascade to get back.

Uggh, I made the mistake of buying the AM3D from Aliexpress - which immediately gave me an error from AliPay, "You haven't signed in, or your previous session has expired. Please sign in again" - with no actual option to sign in. Meanwhile I got an email that my credit card was charged, and another email that unless I verify my payment in 24 hours my order will be canceled. Googling all this, there are many people complaining of battling this problem for weeks, meanwhile being charged for a product that never shipped.

Gotta love these Chinese websites. Two weeks ago when I originally thought of ordering the AM3D, I spent several hours to get it to stop displaying Russian text on the webpage.

Life's too short for this crap. Either I face the next week dealing with this crap, or lose $191.91.

Could someone please explain the difference to the stock module that will come with the Q5s in terms of sound? Is it improved soundstage, detail etc?
If I was intending to buy this module how much difference would there if I was to buy the Q5 or the Q5s?

I am waiting for Q5S with stock module and ordered AM3D. I would compare them and most likely sell AM3E if THX module has positive attributes! But Q5S release was delayed up to beginning of July in Singapore.
