For sure the M17 is coming, featuring dual AK4501EQ dac chips. Before the M19 hits the market with 2 X AK4503EQ.

My understanding is that there will not be an M15 Pro.

And for the M15Pro, here's a unified reply:

1. At present, we have clearly given up the plan of M15Pro. Because several plans originally planned were rejected.

2. The original plan included Plan A, replacing the copper shell + replacing some fever components on the basis of M15. The reason for the rejection was that users felt lack of sincerity.

3. Plan B, Change the AMP to THX AAA. The reason for the rejection is that the power will be much smaller than M15, so it was rejected by the user.

4. Plan C, many people expect to change to the THX amplifier, but if you want to use the THX 788, since the THX 788 is a desktop computer, the output power is more than 2 times larger than the M15. The small change based on the existing M15 cann't accommodate. If there is a major change, What will it be? What are the design goals? To whom? How much does it cost? These have to be re-planned. Even if we do, there are a lot of variables and a long way to go, so we have not final decision now.

So if you just worry about the M15Pro coming soon, then don't be worry because it's gone.

I like to have both if I can But I've dinged 2 AKs both on the top edge right corner where the case stops, I also dinged my m11- fell out of my pocket unprotected. I actually like the look of the m15 myself, I just prefer a smaller profile dap.

But if course you're right, sound quality is top concern for most of us, me included.

I dropped my Hiby R6 SS in the subway and managed to ding the corner so even that wasn’t impervious to a drop from a few feet. I like how solid it feels, but the weight keeps it from being pocket-friendly. Aluminum seems to be the trade off. Outside of carbon-fiber, I don’t know what other material they’d be able to use that offers a combination of durability and lightness.

But we all know there will be an m17 so I guess they gona beef it up and maybe make it a transportable like the dmp-z1 and add all the thx and balanced and all the big caps and delicious parts we all high end audiophiles whant so it can be priced 1/4 price of dmpz1 and we be very happpy!
