70%+ of hardstyle delivers stronger bass than rap/hiphop and trance and often even dubstep, try forwarding to 3:34 - 3:37 in this track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxIFu5TuFYI that bassdrop makes me physically feel it, air that tickles my ears on XB500.

This guy made an awesome selection of best hardstyle songs that you should listen through if you like hardstyle and need suggestions (I personally like all of those)

crazy bass, but not a fan. I bought it off iTunes for the test tracks though. Thanks!

Anyone else have tracks?

Finally, a thread for the hfi-580's.

These are my first (and so far only) cans. I'm running them out of my computer and clip+, but I'll be getting a ibasso D4 soon. Anybody here notice any difference between the 580's amped and unamped?

Homie, you pick up that D4? Got any impressions to share?

Sorry to repeat my question yet again... xP
But, i'm curious to know what kind of (portable) amps you people are using/recommending for you 580's?

I've mentioned before, that when used with my iPod nano, the sound is less than optimal in terms of volume.

Someone previously suggested a specific amp, but it was dead expensive, and it wasn't exactly portable.
Anyone have anything to share in this respect, please. = )

no worries, I was actually wondering if 5370H55V had any feedback about his iBasso D4. That's what I'm shooting for. I have a small Fiio E5, and it helps a bit.

Since you didn't like my awesome suggestion for the iBasso D2+  (which isn't an expensive portable amp btw)

How about a Fiio E7 ? It's cheaper...

Don't bother with an E5, they do very little for the 580

I really love these headphones. I do feel they are greatly underappreciated. I bought these after a short stint with the DT 770 Pros (which I hated), and fell in love.

I do feel the bass is overpowering in certain genres (most notably, jazz), and I do which the mids were a little more prominent, however. I'm also looking for slightly more comfortable headphones. Any suggestions?

I am tempted to try replacing the pads on these headphones...any suggestions on how to go about doing that? Getting velvetier pads might help with breathability, comfort, and tone down the base a little bit. I wouldn't mind putting some better padding on the top either.
