Trying not to rant but it´s just to hard .. is this really what head-fi became? I´m feeling pretty "sold" and wonder how others do feel. It´s pretty obvious that the "to much wasted space" is intended to fit as much ads as possible, but when the usefull information on a screen is < than the ad space, there´s something wrong. Head-fi was my only AdBlock exception cause i know that a forum this large keeps eating budget and i understand that if somebody "owns" such a big community, he would be a fool not trying making money out of it -> but someone definitly carried this "thing" to excess.

sad days ... i really liked this forum.

Here's a good example of where more is too much. This many ads will probably end up reducing revenue. Ad-block is very popular, and very easy to obtain. Anyone with Head-Fi as an exception probably won't keep it so for long. I'm blocking the ads already.
