I might have a different opinion than most reviewers, but I really like the default color scheme of the S8Z. The orange innards with the blue wood faceplate is very attractive IMO.

Me too! They are very attractive in person, as you get to see some depth in the blue faceplate and more of the inner workings of the IEM, which I always enjoy.

I may be mistaken on this, but it is my understanding that this particular blue faceplate is a Linsoul exclusive design and that the default is black and orange with large lettering.

That‘s what I understood it to be.

Sheesh I just demoed the dawn, and for somebody who focuses heavily on midrange tone, the dawn takes the top spot for me...vocals are balanced just right. Other iems I've tried around the same time were U12t, viento R universal, Sony m7/m9/z1r, Moondrop B2 & S8, QDC 8sl/8cl/gemini/vx/4ss/5sh, Fearless S8f/pro/Z & s6pro, pears SH3, campfire andro/atlas, xelento. I prob won't spend money on it since I can't afford it now though...

I’m jealous of all of you Singaporeans(?). You get to try out all of the best products, from all over the world....well, at least from NA and Asia.

haha you got me! XD. Yeah its really convenient for us. And Im still a newbie audiophile, not worthy OTL
And it’s not just with audio equipment. Watches, camera equipment, pretty much any luxury items are available to see/handle at a storefront......on the other hand, my wife and bank account are very happy that I don’t live there. :relaxed:

Yea basically if your absolutely biggest priority above all else is midrange tone, nothing comes close to the Dawn for now.

Just chiming in to praise the imaging of the S8pro, truly TOTL level of imaging even compared to full sized open headphones.
That's via the little fio btr3 with LDAC.
Amazing 3D imaging even in busy tracks.

Well, shoot... you're right. I thought it said "DAWN" on it and not "CRINICALE" There isn't much talk of the Dawn on the forum. Like it's just known that it is good, "but" the guy who helped tuned it acknowledges his preference towards dynamic drivers timbre.
