yeah :D makes the waiting even harder
Pretty major differences on the very bottom and in the ~3k range though. Of course, depending on equipment, who knows?

I've been lurking in this thread for some time now and i'm getting to the point where i need to stop reading and just order a pair.
The problem i have is that there are almost too many choices!

I'm deciding between the S6rui/pro and the S8f/pro but i need a bit of help from more experienced people.
My daily drivers right now are the Shure SE535 and i like them quite alot but i feel like they are missing some punch in the bass and a bit of detail.
I do however love the mids on them and i'm afraid that the fearless iems are a bit too v-shaped maybe?
Since i'm usually using my iems for 6-8 hours at a time i feel like too detailed and too much treble can be fatiguing.

What do you guys think?

Look really nice, but why not go for Pelican 1010 or 1020 cases? I have several of these, even a 1040 for larger gear...

Agreed. I have been using Pelican cases for the last 20+ years for my ultra expensive Schoeps mics and KCY cables, and now I have a couple of EVERY micro case they make for my IEM's too!

Pelican:
1010
1015
1015i
1020
1030 x2
1040
1050
1060

I do wish you could put a tiny lock on them but they're GREAT cases overall, especially for the money!!!

I think HBB is the only person able to answer your question at the moment. But... What is your budget? And from what I understood, the S6Pro are just a bit more polite than the S8F, that are quite lively and energic, with lots of details. What kind of source are you using?

My budget isn't restricted so to speak. I can buy the s8 over the s6 and wouldn't lose any sleep.
As for now my source is usually a phone with a dragonfly black. I'm looking at other options but i need it to be very small so it will do for now.

I like details but too much can be fatiguing. My DT1990 for example is enjoyable but not for very long listening sessions.

Good to have the Beyers as a scale regarding fatigue tolerance. I still own a DT880 600ohm and I think I know what you are talking about. People just got or are going to get their Fearless in the coming days. There will be some impressions and feedbacks pretty soon. Keep on following this thread in order to gather as many information as possible, so that you can make up your mind about the model which will suit you the best. Maybe a hybrid or DD could also be a solution if you want to avoid fatigue. Moondrop Kanas Pro? Sony N3?

Finally decided to pull the trigger on S8F. By comparing Linsoul and Penon there seems to be different wood options for the faceplate.
My favorite is the black wood option (F7) from Penon. Very clean and stealthy looking... :sunglasses:

Is that option store-exclusive?

I don't think that's a wood option? I've never seen a black wood option, but that would be rad.

I am listening to ACME8 and only ACME8 today. A jarring departure from the HARMAN is GOD stuff lately but it's really nice with Bob Marley and Allman bros. The bassist is clearly separate, dominant and not masking vocals. I might pop the screen off....I hate screens
