I'm surprised how well recorded The Beatles' "Love" is. They clearly did not over-compress it for the masses.

Nicely done, and its a great way for the beatles noob (me) to get into their stuff.

Exactly what happened to me.
I used not to like Beatles. But after watching the Cirque Du Soleil Love show, i ended up getting the LOVE album and i started to enjoy Beatles. And it's definitely well recorded for my tastes too ...

The Wall - Live in Berlin was Roger Waters not Pink Floyd. Not to split hairs but it's not Floyd. Sorry, just had to interject that. You know how band allegiances can be.

I think the replies to this thread speak for themselves - it's kinda pointless to ask this question. It's the same thing as asking what everyone's favorite music is - it varies from person to person. And of all the types of components, headphones sound the most different, so there's really not much point in "testing" headphones with music, unless you're a reviewer - if you don't like what you hear on your favorite music, then you need to get a different headphone.

Ra- From One

The singer has a great voice with middle eastern roots- You dont usually find that in a modern rock band.

Seriously, after listening to RA's album, I have avoided mainstream rock. With the RP-21's superior sound stage and refinement, I realize a certain uniqueness and complexity of their songs that was never there when listening to their mp3s.

I like Dire Straits’ first album and Love over Gold. Both are very well recorded, and IMHO the music is great as well. Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk is another one of my pop/rock references.

Roger Waters - Amused to Death (better on stereo systems due to Q-sound)
Roger Waters - Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking.

Anything with a decent female voice, Sinead O'Conner, Kate Bush etc..

Kramer-Beatles One has similar sound quality and has less intrusive remix than Love

KevDo-I do not care the music as much from Amused to Death as I do Floyd, but the sound was leading edge at the time.

Love female vocals like Tori Amos-Boys from Pele

I completely agree, some of the remastering work is simply stunning. However, it's sort of a random mess of tidbits at times, but still everyone should give it a run through.
