THIS IS SO WEIRD.

"Whole Lotta Rosie" came up on one of my mix cds just LAST NIGHT and that got me thinking.. what IS the best AC/DC song? The top 10?

TOO WEIRD.

So, would I vote for "Whole Lotta Rosie" ?

It would be close.

For years and years that song has in fact, been my favorite. LET THERE BE ROCK is definately my favorite AC/DC album, though POWERAGE has been pulling up a close 2nd. "Downpayment Blues" is awesome, so is "Kicked in the Teeth" and "Sin City" rule as well.

As for LET THERE BE ROCK.. gotta love "Overdose" and "Bad Boy Boogie" as well as "Whole Lotta Rosie"

Best song? obviously a Bon Scott era song. After careful consideration, I'd agree that "Whole Lotta Rosie" is their best song.

Though one does have to admit, that given the number of times these ears have heard the song "You Shook Me All Night Long" (probaby more than any other song ever), it does take some songwriting skill to come up with something that's as universally loved as that song is.

'Its A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)'

Most creative use of bagpipes in popular music (well it beats the hell out of Mull of Kintyre !)

When I was at univercity myself and a couple of friends once had a 24h AC/DC fest, i.e we stayed up for 24 hours and played AC/DC records back to back. Must have played everything they had released by then (about 1983) several times. Why did we do it ? I really can't remember but it must have seemed like a good idea at the time .....
