How about one of 'em moderators consolidate facts re: cans, amps, etc. onto a thread at the top of the forums so that we're not all sick of answering the same questions or of asking them to use the search function? I'll contribute one tidbit here.

*Good amps don't just increase the volume of sound. Cheap op-amps will do that just fine. Good amps takes a low volume source and amplifies it WITHOUT distortion whereas cheap amps amplifies sound WITH distortions*

I usually send absolute newbies to go look at the headroom site...that pretty much answers any questions that they might have.
