ive read reports from audio shows that those things just turn the walls to paper, 5hz must be gut wrenching.

I remember hearing about that at some electronics convention, maybe last year's CES or something. Most awesome sub ever!!! (at least through virtue of its design)

I want to know how much the kit costs!

I emailed them; didn't see anything regarding it on the site. I guess it looks pretty "beta", but they mentioned "price includes...", so I would assume they at least have something planned out. Will report!

i think thats why they mount it in attic or basement, that low frequency just passes through everything, a dedicated listening room would probibly still need a cone woofer for the general 20-40hz stuff

The rotary woofer keeps popping up... if it's as good as they say, it will see production.

I'd like to pair them with some plasma tweeters and mids. That would be pretty close to the ultimate.

Got this from the article.

A smooth $12,900 is what the patented Eminent TRW 17 will sell for (they're not on sale yet). Also, you don't want to actually have the TRW 17 in your main listening room (otherwise your head will explode like the guy in the Simpsons THX trailer). A professional installer has to wire the TRW 17 into your attic or basement, thus creating The World's Largest Subwoofer.
