Hi,
I just received a pair of Sennheiser CX 400-II today and I'm trying to figure out if they're real or fake. I've been through various forums, but haven't found any pictures of a white original CX 400, and the black is a bit hard to compare with.
Sound is alright, though all I have to compare to are my ipod headphones, which aren’t hard to compete with.
What worries me is the overall build quality (the ear-add-ons are somewhat flimsy, the cable seems somewhat fragile), that the volume slider is somewhat plastic, and - primarily: the pouch which doesn't smell or look like leather to me and also seems to resemble the fake top black version here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/313793/how-can-i-define-fake-cx400/15#post5193151. Otherwise wrapping, logos etc. seems ok to me.
Any hints? Or anybody with pictures of a real set to compare with?
I got them from the local (danish) version of MyTrendyPhone, which is usually a trustworthy shop. English version here: http://www.mytrendyphone.com/shop/sennheiser-cx-400-ii-53823p.html
Thanks
