I just learned a technique that really help with eye strain from looking at a computer screen all day. The best part is you do not even have to leave your desk!

- Looking straight forward, bend your head down until your eyes are looking right at the "H" on your keyboard.
- WITHOUT MOVING YOUR EYES, gradually lift the keyboard up, and keep your eyes focused on the "H" key.
- Tilt your head back with the keyboard right above you, and slowly bring it toward and away from your face, focusing on the "H" key the whole time, then back down.

It may look strange but this technique was developed by OSHA and has done wonders for my eyes! Give it a shot!

Does it only work with a keyboard or can I use like a credit card?

No, the numbers on the card are too small.

Alright then, what if I took a sheet of paper and drew an H the exact same size as a keyboard and used that instead. Would that work??

Yes, it's just about changing the distance focus in your eyes. Another thing to do is to focus on something on the otherside of the room, but this is better because the object is moving.

It is best to use something rigid like the keyboard. Also, the keyboard fills your peripheral vision, which is part of the exercise.

I usually defocus my eyes and move them to their maximum straight-ahead position (as if I were looking at a very distant object) when I start to feel strained. I have a great deal of control over my eyes, so I don't need to use any tricks... ([size=xx-small]I can even move my eyes independently...

Pro Tip:
Once you train your eyes to refocus quickly, try rapidly moving the keyboard up and down, staying focused on the H key. It is like Jazzercise for your eyes!

I got some glasses. I have better than 20/20 vision, but I guess I have a slight stigmatism. The glasses almost seem to do nothing, but no more headaches.

Check them at the eye doctor.
