Just got hold of some woodies, and thought people may appreciate the eye candy. hah, they look really nice, how I personally look when I have them on its another story

Glad to see you got your woodies. Mine are the open screen variety HD650s which have little or no effect on the 650 sound (according to Larry at least ) which makes for a great cosmetic variation.

the sound stage does indeed change,

seems like vocals become more distant and bass response is increased.


EDIT:

I swapped these over to the tube amp and sacd/dvd player and sound is really warm and full. Seems to gain a lot more bass are the expense of sound stage refinement and spaciousness. I might just need to get used to them.
one things for sure the sonic difference is night and day, its totally new sound.

I switched over to my brothers ipod nano to give a listen for the first time,

He has a lot of dance music on his nano so Im just sifiting though his library, and this sounds pretty darn good with his nano,

There definately is a club feel to it, its just how itd sound while im in a club or dance room.

the gain definately seems to be changed also.

I lined the back of my woody cups with blu tak. It filled the mids back out and stopped an odd resonation I was getting with strong bass. I don't know how the deep woodies will respond, but you might want to try it.
