Hello ppl!

I recently bought the 650's and very happy with them. Like the warm and dark sound very pleasant for my ears. Right now i have them hooked up with my 336i (RCA tubes) . Mainly using them to my computer have the M-Audio 192. And i'm looking for a external DAC. in price range 200-250$ !

you can just buy a separate DAC (they can get expensive). you don't need a new amp. i think a DAC will help the sound a lot in your case

for example your new setup could be:
M-Audio 192 Audiophile> coaxial out > DAC1 > Darkvoice 336i> HD595

DACS= there's a LOT
alien (diy)
opus (diy)
Superpro707/USB
zhaolu Vx.x (supposedly op amp rolling makes this thing a good bang for the buck)
beresford
DAC-AH
lavry
benchmark dac1
wavelength brick
Cambridge

ebay for both and check out the source forum

the OPA627 needs the adapter and all. You can probably get the chipset for 50+shipping

I don't think you want another amplifier, you're probably looking for an external DAC. Maybe a beresford TC7510 would suit you. Maybe you want to put off buying something, cause of your budget. Save up for a DAC1 or something. I think that the m-audio is quite decent (judging from what I read about it).

Hmm the beresford TC7510 is only 24bit/96k, the zero dac seems good but i can't find it on ebay.

The seller on ebay I bought my Zero from, also sells the Opamps. email him and he should be able to give you a price including the requested Opamps. Here is his email address: lawrencechanbig@msn.com
Good luck which every way you go!!

*** IMO, you will find the DAC within your computer to be quite bad in comparison to the DACs suggested in this thread. Taking the "digital out" of your computer: Computer > DAC > amp will sound much, much better than Computer > amp .
