Ok so I finally figured out how to full enjoy my first pair of high-quality phones Se530. However I find that on a rainy day ill hesitate to use them for fear of damaging them..

Does this make any sense or should I keep using them even during rain?

Please share your thoughts..

Think about the ear wax in your ears. I think you're pretty safe. But is a hood or a hat just too much? Does Shure cover water damage? Is water damage possible?

Unless it is raining sideways, I'd probably feel comfortable using my LiveWires.

I've used a pair of CX300's in the rain, but wouldn't even take my Ety's in the rain, so I suggest if you try it, just buy a cheap set.

You should really bring an umbrella or a hat, you know. Walking in rain isn't health =\

I wouldn't take a chance. Several hundred dollars at the mercy of some moisture? Making that mistake would be just horrible.

But if it's just sprinkling, then you've got nothing to fear if plenty of people here are telling the truth about working out with them. The salt content in sweat is something to be more afraid of then rain, imo.

also, how often will you be using them in the rain, how much time in the rain, light drizzle or heavy downpour????

just other things to take into consideration.....

I've worn my ER4's in the rain plenty of times in Boston, some nice wintry mixes even. Never had a problem with them. I didn't put them in/out in the rain though.

Ummmm...no.

As long as something is off, water does nothing to it. I can go throw a bucket of water into my computer (when it's off), then just wait for it to dry, and it will be fine.

well technically there's still parts of your computer that're running on battery in the MB. so err i would strongly advise you against using water on your computer =] but if you must, do make sure u pull the plug beforehand. oh and it's not so much moisture than damages, but the condensation that might occur internally. that could really ruin your computer, plus the fact that it'll take forever to evaporate

I think he assumed the OP would be using the IEM's when they got wet (valid

). I don't know if they would hold up in the rain or not, but might as well be safe.

lol... ok, so why would he have them in his ears if he's not using them? to keep his inner ears dry?

I have my Tilley hat on when it rains, so my IEM's are ok.

Wouldn't wear full-size when it rains though!

almost everything electronic has some kind of circuit/main board, and if that gets wet it ruins it, and I know this from learning the "basics of electronical devices". Anything that doesn't have some type of circuit/main board isn't consider an "electronic device".
