hello everyone!
 
am looking to exapnd my headphone collection so the question is:
 
i have sennheiser hd650 and denon d2000. 
both are very differente headphones for differente purposes with their unique sound signature.
 
so am looking for a headphone thats differente from those.
something unique from the hd650 and d2000
 
the meaning is i dont want a headphone thats sounds too simillar to those, but in the same league.
 
so, any suggestions? ive thinking about beyerdynamic headphones.

Beyer DT990 (bassy)
AKG Q701 (neutral)
Ultrasone PRO 2500 (bassy)
Grado SR325i (neutralish)
Fischer FA-002W (neutral)
AudioTechnica A900X (neutral)

Akg Q701 is very different from those two , it is neutral, very large soundstage ,analytical and very detailed treble , very little mid and upper bass.
 
Pro 900 , small 3d soundstage , strong treble and lower mids ,sounds wonderful for electric guitars ,punchy bass but not to strong 
 
both sound very different to what you own .

Are you just wanting more for the sake of novelty, or is there a particular itch that your headphones aren't scratching?
 
If it's just to try something new (nothing wrong with that), I would recommend Beyers or Ultrasone as well.  Some T50RP might also be an interesting option for you, if you want to try your hand at a bit of light modding.
