I don't think its possible to say they sound the same as each other, but there are elements of HD 600 and HD 650 that are similar to IE 600 like the full-bodied bass and vocal clarity. I've long said that there's a line between the IE 600 and the forefathers of Hi-Fi HD 600/650, but an in-ear vs a circumaural open-back are always going to be apples/oranges even if they have tonal relation. The final presentation of the audio is just too different.
Thanks @ericpalonen, that does make sense.

Correct. MMCX components are interchangeable across brands, just note that the cable's termination must fit inside the socket of the IE 300 / 600 / 900 as illustrated here.

I appreciate the information @ericpalonen

Mine looks like entire plug sheath is at 4.8mm max, no lateral stability - but will see on Saturday

My pair of IE 600 has reached to 230 hrs of burn-in approx.

The main difference spotted is the coherency and separation of instruments, these areas have improved a lot. Also, the high is now more refined and controlled. I will keep going till it reaches 400 hrs of burn-in.

I found some braided cables for IE300/IE900 on Aliexpress. Ordered one in 3.5 and one in 4.4. Going to give them a try. The stock cable is kind of annoying and keeps wanting to coil back up from how I'm storing them.
