You mean the 900? The 800 is very outdated.
Outdated how? Has the sound deteriorated somehow? In my ears they sound just as good as a few years ago when I bought them

So this is made in China, right? Please don't answer as you did above, "No, it's made in Germany and Ireland". Explain why you would release it first in China (by far more than just a few days, it seems - perhaps weeks), if it's not made there.
Go ahead, explain. Answer the question, don't skirt around it.
Or a continued mistreatment to the European public (price, availability...), even from a European brand.Of course it makes sense - it simply shows where the real/large audiophile markets are.
Fear not.The IE300 also has a similar bass boost, but those treble peaks are hugely sibilant. Really unpleasant!
Looking at the graph, I fear something similar with IE600. I hope I'm wrong in this case.

You'll have to determine that with your own ears. No graph will tell you that.so 600 performs better than 900 on vocal???

It was a general statement, I wasn't talking specifically about Sennheiser.Hardly mistreatment to sell first in your most lucrative market.
Thanks for your impressions! The physical weight and feel reminds me of pewter, but not nearly as heavy.
So I finally got to try the IE600 at the store today. Turns out it's priced at around $770. The build quality as well as assembly technique, the engineering behind the making of the internals and housing is simply stunning. Its smooth high-grade shell also feels nice (i.e. expensive) to the touch. Pleasant to the sight, and a real eye candy for engineers. It reminds of me the soft pebble/stone found in flowing rivers, or perhaps the surface of the moon
Initial demo impression (YMMV), the sound impresses me the most with its gorgeous silky/velvety upper-mids. It's smooth lightweight as well as airy. It never sound dull or unengaging, but at the same time remaining clear without excess, balanced and centered only slightly forward
Sound signature overall tends more towards becoming W-shaped with plenty of bass down low, and about equal mids and treble. The mids are a hair behind the treble, and slightly more so behind the sub-bass. It's not neutral nor is it very balanced-sounding type of signature
Sub-bass I hear sounded the most dominant, it's large heavy with medium strength slam and average speed and decay. Bass isn't that tight with just good enough definition (a bit low-res and not that accurate in texture). It's more on the 'fun' side, more boomy less natural boosted type. Which in my opinion suits well for EDM genre bass instruments. It has pretty good separation and control as to not let it bleed too much into the mids. Just the quantity may be too much for some
Mids are oerall pretty accurate. Especially vocals sound quite natural with clear highs and just enough warmth in its tone. Both warmth and brightness are about the same level, it doesn't sound thin metallic, nor lush organic. Somewhere in the middle. Pretty good resolution, and exhibits above average details (though not as high as the IE900)
Good extension in its treble and plenty of energy there as well. Cymbal crashes was the highlight for me, as it sounded delightful not too splashy nor thin. It has enough body weight and lightweight airiness to it that resembles the real thing. Treble is good overall, save for some occassional sibilance in the 'sh' 'ch' 'ts' pronounciation (though not as harsh as on the IE300). Vocals especially female vocals sounded exceptional on the IE600, especially on quieter tracks where the loudness of the bass doesn't interrupt and crowd the stage with its quantity (again, this comes down to preference)
Overall, the IE600 is a good middle weight all-rounder in my opinion. It possessess plenty of everything, and its mids sounded promising. It may not boast the high-resolution as the IE900, but it may provide a more fun listen and alternative to rotate to

Nice to see some first impressions. Currentely still loving my IE900 but really interested in the IE600. Is there anything you think the IE600 is actually better at? Probably gonna order a pair anyways sooner or later because its super hard to find a place to test IEMs here and i really want to try out which of them im gonna like more.So I finally got to try the IE600 at the store today.
