If you haven't seen it, let me recommend a very funny, cheeky, and interesting film called "24 Hour Party People" which follows British broadcaster Tony Wilson through his producing days as head of Factory records and his support of Joy Division and the Happy Mondays. It's traverses the punk years up to the birth of the club scene in Manchester, England and it's both informative, brilliantly styled and a wild ride. If you see it on the shelf in the video store - go for it. I think there's something in it for everyone.

Yeah, it's great. Also for a similar film about films check out "The Kid Stays In the Picture", released about the same time. And for alt comic book fans the upcoming (I saw it earlier at Sundance) "American Splendor" is incredible.

Loved it. It is somewhat disconcerting to see "your music" starting to get romanticized, mythologized, and nostaligized. I'm getting old! Anyway-- big thumbs up!

I liked it but... it just felt like such a long movie. Tony Wilson is one of my personal heroes though. Good movie, I just had some issues with pacing.
