When i'm in the gym my EX81's just keep on falling out! It's driving me nuts. Am I doing anything wrong, does anyone else have this sort of problem?

If the ex-81's are flexible try bending them so they put more pressure on your ear canal.

If you're not already doing so, try using the larger sized caps...

...might help

Or the opposite if they're slipping out.

I don't use the EX81's during gym workouts, what I advise is if you really need a rugged pair of earphones, go for clip-ons type, the EX81 is not really a clip-on type earphones, the clip-ons are just there for support for your ears, not really suitable for sports use.

this was the problem for me

but then i fixed it by really basically screwing them in my ear almost and it made a good seal and it stayed in

you cant just stick them in your ear and expect them to stay you gotta screw it in it and push or else it wont go far enough in (im not saying really far to hurt yourself but just far enough to where it stays in)

Em...only as far as the ear caps

You can use the same insertion technique as with the etymotic/shure canalphones. Hold on to the upper-right edge of your outer ear flap and pull up and outwards so that your ear canals open up a bit more. Now push in the earbuds so that the silicone bud completely enters your ear. You'll now notice that the earbud goes in deeper with a more secure fit.

I do this all the time and getter a better seal, which means more isolation and bass. Only problems are that it takes a little longer to insert/take out the earbuds and the rod section of the EX81 can stick out slighlty, making you look like an alien!
