Every Motorhead album I own...

Matt
I even picked up some of the new remasters of classic MH albums mainly for all the bonus tracks.........but still very raw primitive sound, I think we are stuck with their "artistic" decision to have poor sounding recordings.

Has anyone heard the DVD-A of Ace of Spades? I saw it at Scrape Records (metal only store in Vancouver, B.C.) and I would have picked it up though I lack DVD player right now. If you are into DVD-A you should look around for it

I must have seen Moterhead live at least 10 times in the late 80s through to the early 90s. Fantastic live act just a wall of sound. They never played too long and always left the audience wanting more. I really can't see the point of a SACD or DVD-A version of their recordings though, its not like there sound was carefully produced or anything just raw rock and roll very VERY LOUD.

hmm I've never considered "soundstage" when listening to old metal albums.. yes, most are not very natural, but who cared when the beers and bongs came out..

I disagree with this completely. I don't care what kind of music it is, even if it's Merzbow, I still want to hear it on the highest fidelity possible. The difference between tube-driven analog guitar distortion and "digititis" is completely different.

I just got the new Motorhead CD Inferno.
I will admit that it is not "audiophile" sound quality. But, it has a good bit better sound quality than my other Motorhead CD "Rock N Roll".

Have you ever heard Lemmy do blues? The last song is acoustic blues, and it's very very good. Lemmy's voice fits blues perfectly.

This CD gets my vote for the best new album of 2004.

It's good enough to knock my Courtney Love CD off the top of my playlist.

That doesn't seem to be saying much...

Early Motorhead albums are recorded horribly. Listening to No Remorse, it sounds very compressed with overly sharp highs. Then again, if someone drank as much as Lemmy did, who knows how their judgement would've been in the studio.

I listen to Motorhead every Monday night on WWE Raw:

It's all about the Game........

I have to admit that Motorhead has consistently rocked hard for longer than any group I am aware of, 37+ years now and still putting out quality new material!

Exactly! It's suppose to sound like that!

Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil,

Going with the flow, it's all the same to me,

Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you,

Double up or quit, double stake or split!
