This announcement of the A10 (?) aligns with the start of the Paris Audio Video show that takes place 25-28 October. With 25th and 28th being the Pros & Press Days.

Just got back from the field today, and look what was sitting there waiting for me. I was this close from ordering a Eversolo A8, but then I read news that a newer eversolo streamer was nearing release. So Instead of ordering the A8 as my streamer, I ordered the A6 so I can see if a streamer will fit my chain. Can't wait to play with this bad boy.

This will be my first streamer I ever used. I always used my PC as a streamer. I have my audio chain set-up so I wouldn't need a streamer. Lets see if I hear any improvments.

Let the fun and games begin.

EDIT: Immediately I'm impressed. I have it hooked up to my holo bliss, sounding amazing. Caught off guard at how amazing it sounds. My ethernet chain is pretty deep.

Modem - Router -Lhy Ock-2S master clock - Lhy SW-6 switch - Fiber - Sw-6 switch, isolated to eversolo.

Was not expecting to much with the built in dac. I haven't heard a chip based dac in a while. I mean wow. If this what you get for 700+, even setting it up to my Tidal to my phone, the ease of use is excellent. Next will try the usb, this is the true test, to see if its better then my Usb reclocking chain with my Holo May dac.

The eversolo A6 already passed the keeper test. Definitely keeping a eversolo in my audio gear. Loving this thing so far.

Enjoy! Check the functionalities carefully and you will be even more surprised - EQ, PEQ, could be done to each channel separately, Upscaling (humble but upscaling),.... My humble advice - use as much as possible the internal player (for example Tidal from internal player, not from Tidal Connect); play a bit more with the outputs - sometimes USB works better, but sometimes not.

Was really hoping it was a AIO. Guess not a hp amplifier. Those heatsink fins gave me Schiit Ragnarok Vibes. Hopefully those fins are meant to cool down all the upgraded internals, maybe a beefy PSU.

Can't wait to see the back of this thing. If anything it sure is looking like a substantial price increase over the A8.

That means the A6 will always reign supreme for price to performance/features. Unbeatable!

Edit: I started a thread for the Eversolo Dmp-a10. Want to keep the Dmp-A6 thread on topic.

Let us continue our discussion of the Dmp-A10 in its own thread posted above.

Hello all, new owner here - great thread with lots of really helpful reviews / feedback. One query I’d welcome input on re: Apple Music. From the menu on the device, Streaming lists Apple Music in 2 places: under “Music Services” and under “Music Apps”:

When I click on Apple Music under Music Services, it reports I need the latest firmware:
IMG_7327.jpeg

The device lists the software version as v1.2.50. Firmware isn’t explicitly listed but assume it’s v1.1.38 (detailed on the about section of the interface). Is there a firmware upgrade that addresses the above?

I am using Apple Music via the app and all is working fine, but wonder what the difference is between the two implementations (assume a tighter integration would happen via music services (like Qobuz), where changes to the menu display apply, you can upsample to 192/24 etc etc).

As a sidenote, wonderful device that’s an absolute bargain for what you get. I’m just using as digital transport but if it was sold as just that I’d be very happy 😃

Like you I use a Cyan2 as external DAC with my A6, great combination and leverages the upsampling for local files feature on the A6. Can't help with the Apple stuff, I don't use that ecosystem.

The latest firmware is v1.3.30. If you go to 'settings' and 'about' you can see your current version. Also, if you tap on the version number, you will be able to download and install the latest version.

Thanks…I over complicated this. Assumed software and firmware were independent. Have updated to v1.3 and setup Apple Music via Services, and all looks great. Have to say, what an incredible job Eversolo has done on the software and the excellent integration of streaming services. Elevates the experience of interacting with music. Lovely job!
