Maybe it has something to do with Bluetooth connection. That it try to connect to some thing else.? Just a thought. Thanks, I’ll try my chain with a different source but I already tried the A6 with a completely different DAC and amp (even different cables) and the problem persists.
I’m on the latest firmware - could this be a bug?
Edit: It’s not like the sound cutting out - it literally just pauses and I have to press play again!

Hi, any other remote in the room!? No matter if you use remote for A6. If other remote operates in the room it may pause, skip, volume up/down, switch functions.... My TV remote, that is programmable to command the TV and smart box, interferes severely. Thanks, I’ll try my chain with a different source but I already tried the A6 with a completely different DAC and amp (even different cables) and the problem persists.

Otherwise, sounds like decoding issue - bad internet source or bad data cable. My wifi router did it to me - i do wifi connection but I had drops of signal, i tried cable to A6 - same. So, finally, I installed an iFi LAN iSilencer between the provider's data cable and my wifi router - all hangouts, drops, ping issues disappeared.

Hmm well yeah there’s lots and lots of remotes in the room! Maybe I should try removing all of them and give it a try? It would make sense if it was interference because the fact that it magically “wakes up” from the screensaver every now and then would align with that.
As for the internet cable/router, it also happens when the Ethernet cable and WiFi are both disconnected and I’m listening to local files from the SSD!

I have only used AirPlay to the A6 a couple of times so maybe something is happening there? I’ll check if there is any way to “unpair” or remove it from the AirPlay devices!
At least when i had optical out selected and when i whatched on my apple tv4k. It sometimes paused the sound and went to pair with Bluetooth instead to my apple tv4k.I have only used AirPlay to the A6 a couple of times so maybe something is happening there? Unfortunately none of the above solved it. Thanks for all the suggestions though!
I guess it’s time to contact the company as I can no longer use the product (it pauses very often tonight) - anybody knows what the best way is to contact them? Are they on Head-Fi?

I went back to my Hugo 2 as external Dac with Coax connection after using the Dmp A6 ME internal Dac for some months (With LHY LPS)
I heard that the Hugo 2 Dac is the better Dac.
Hugo 2 sounds less bright with better timbre. It sounds warmer and more organic, rich and more analog. It sounds more effortless with better stereo separation and depth. It has more resolution and more textured details. It sounds more fullbodied. Bass reach deeper and slams much harder in the dynamics. For exempel drums hit harder, bass lines is more fullbodied and deeper and more textured.
It sounds more musical engaging and enjoyable. I just get more immersed into the music.
Hugo 2 as external Dac fed by Dmp A6 ME is the best sounding setup my system can offer.
But still i thought the internal Dmp A6 ME Dac was quite good and could enjoy it. I give it to it that i thought it has a blacker background.

I had the same problem, it was completely solved using this router: Xiaomi-Ax3000Unfortunately none of the above solved it. Thanks for all the suggestions though!

I also have found that the DMP A6 ME with LHY A6 LPS has less sibilance in SSSS sounds then Hugo2 does especially when whatching movies with optical in.
So one more thing thats better with DMP A6.

Could do with some guidance. I use the A6 as my streamer and it feeds my Qutest DAC.
There is a setting fixed sample rate output , at present it is set at the original rate setting.
I tried to do a little bit of experimenting to see if I could change it to another rate let’s say 192khz. It did not seem to make any difference at all . I don’t mean to the sound as I am sure it just didn’t change the sample rate output. Can anybody point me in the right direction ?

Fixed 192khz only means, it will never go beyond that. De a6 will not do upsampling like a mscaler all of a sudden. If the track is 44khz it will remain 44khzCould do with some guidance. I use the A6 as my streamer and it feeds my Qutest DAC.

Ok thanks for the prompt reply. So what does the sample rate output actually do. Like it would always be set at the original rate output then? What is the point of the setting?Fixed 192khz only means, it will never go beyond that. De a6 will not do upsampling like a mscaler all of a sudden. If the track is 44khz it will remain 44khz
Well there is a hidden sense in that. Fancy a NOS dac that cannot handle 192, some cannot handle even 96. So, can you secure that any stream works.Ok thanks for the prompt reply. That just confuses me even moreWell there is a hidden sense in that. Fancy a NOS dac that cannot handle 192, some cannot handle even 96. So, can you secure that any stream works.
I have the Qutest DAC at present, but I am condidering Holo DAC maybe. When would the sample rate output setting be useful. If it leaves 44hz at 44hz even if I change the setting to 192hz, then I am struggling to see why the option is there.
If the NOS dac can handle only 44.1 and you stream from dmp-A6 you set the A6 to 44.1 fixed and when the stream is more, for example like 96, it is down sampled to fit the NOS.That just confuses me even more
