check out the freq response from 20 hz - 20 khz. +0.01 - - 0.58
on loopback test, where the ADC is limited to 101db. The DAC is rated much higher and measures higher too.

Excellent. No wonder this card sounds so flat compared to the Revo that i have lying in my pc. I can safely say this card sounds better than the Revo 7.1 !

Are you serious? Does it sound better resampled compared to the Revo ?
Hey are you in India now? I am currently in Pune.

Edit:
What PSU are you using? I have a 350W Powersafe. And i dont score as high as you.

Yay. M-Audio must have messed up the analog out of the Revo 7.1 pretty badly... prolly 5532s not treated with all due respect, unbiased coupling caps, something like that. That said, the Live! 24-Bit does have perfectly OK tone quality from my experience (the Revo 7.1 is reputed to sound a bit thin/sharp), only soundstaging isn't great (and a tad more dynamics couldn't hurt, perhaps).

24/96 mode? The card shouldn't resample at that mode...

I get ~same with Audigy 2

.

Only thing I wonder on those results given on 1st post on above is,

how on earth 'Frequency response (from 40 Hz to 15 kHz), dB:' can be 'Excellent' since normally the >^= +-0.1 turns it to 'Very Good'?

Are these a bit tampered results?

Here is one 'trusted' test for Live! 24-bit

How do you explain those results then? They were made in 96khz/24 bit and don't show even a sign of resampling.

Yep, the frequency response graph proves that the card truly supports 96KHz. It extends to 48KHz which is only possible with 96KHz or higher.

You should check the "Device Control" applet in Control Panel, where you can select between 48 and 96 kHz...

Believe me ,i have tried every damn option of the card.24bit,48Khz and 96Khz
and all their combinations for the output and recording.
And i still cant get a IMD of below 0.011.

In my case (Audigy 2) RMAA 5.5 did the trick
icon10.gif
.

Previous RMAA 5.x versions gave values: ~0.13 on 24-bit/96 kHz.
RMAA 5.5: 0.0064 on 24-bit/96 kHz.

Are there some changes made on RMAA measuring routines?

BTW:
Only problems on performance I have with Audigy 2 is 'Stereo crosstalk, dB: -84.4 Very good'. Otherwise all results are marked as being "Excellent".
I don't know or even can't quess, what has made it worse. It normally were < -90 dB, about year ago. Can it be the newer drivers (I have A2Zs drivers and software installed at this moment)?

That's interesting, personally I find my Revo to sound slightly better than my Live! 24-usb with headphones (especially at anything other than low volumes...actually, come to think of it, the live sounds terrible at louder volumes), and substantially better with speakers (even my cheapo Boston Acoustics freebies). It's still a decent cheap gaming card (not to mention it flat out rules having 2 sound cards), even if it is annoying when it tells me USB bandwidth is exceeded when trying to run BF2 with 24-bit still on.
