MJ2 arrived today. Lovely set of headphones for the price, bargain at £120, still available as well.

Straight out the box they sound good and I can see the potential once they have been through a few hours of burn-in.

Living in Europe and the microsd of your portable player is full?

SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC 1TB
Amazon.fr

199,99 EUR

Do you really need this type of card for a DAP ?. Do not these other types of cards work well?

I'm not talking about the capacity, but the type of micro sd card

Yes, they work fine for standard bit rates. Don't know about crazy stuff like DSD512 or PCM384.

The extreme card should make database updates faster.

Well, then I don't see the reason to spend 200 euros on a card that is can fail or get corrupted (like all). It would pull my hair out if I spend that amount on a card that breaks ...

There are many reasons to buy this card, but of course if you don’t need it then don’t buy it.

I have one and I can assure you that it’s working more than fine. I’ve been using Sandisk microSD cards for decades and I’ve never had a single problem with any of them. Why do you think it’s going to break?
Apart from the huge capacity the main difference between this and other cards is the data transfer speed. I don’t want to spend hours to storage 1 Tb of music data and this card is incredible fast in this regard.

I’m very happy with this card on my AK380 DAP and I really think that for 200€ is a bargain.
