Look like a good deal - if they didnt have so many AK T8ie manufacturing faults I would have purchased

I agree - a tempting price, but the poor quality control has stopped me buying so far.

son-video have a lot of other good deals on at the moment, especially on Focal and Magnepan speakers. They also had the Focal sphear earbuds on offer, which did tempt me.

I did hear some information that they will be releasing a newer AK T8ie version soon that addresses the current issues. Hopefully very soon

I think the launch date will be next month.

I will let the early adopters do the beta-testing, then if all is ok, maybe the v2 will be on offer again during cyber monday or the new year sales.

I wanted to try the Tesla technology for my commute, but did not want to take the risk with the T8ie, so i bought a pair of T51i as the cheapest solution. They do sound special paired with my mojo, and I just keep thinking that if the Tesla technology can work just as well in an in-ear design, then the T8ie could be something special.

Just wanted to say that mine is 1 month old now and going strong. It sounds as good as they say :)

write to the support and they'll immediately check. If you're lucky you'll see the process being accelerated, if not then it's a stock issue.
I received mine, and now I have a new problem.. The headphone is defective ! The center image is shifted to right for all songs. Always the singer is off center . ( he or she is always on right side) it's a good headphone ( though I didn't like it like my beoplay h6. Still I like the thick bass.. Anybody else got a defective piece like mine?!

For anyone still interested in buying the AK T8ie V1, they are on offer with a 25% reduction in price (799 €) at son-video (France).

Indeed, this would be nice without the frequent quality issues.
For the same price, there was a short sale on the A&K Angie (first gen). Less quality issue and very good reviews, although it is not hightech like the T8ie. Probably only a few pairs since it lasted only 3 days.
