Hi guys, has anyone had any experience with Eufonika? I spoke to someone the other day who had one and really liked it, I was intrigued and have requested a sample.

They are hoping to send their H5 amp for me to test and review, but it's not a model listed on their website.

Either way, here is a thread for all things Eufonika

H7 has been touring the danish head-fi community, hoved-fi.dk, with a couple of finnish tour-participants as well. One hoved-fi member has the H3, and I am waiting for a screen drive custom built (H12G) from Wieslaw, the owner of Eufonika. As far as I know he is working on a new website, listing all the models he makes (there are at least 10 different ones). In addition custom builts are available on request.

A few pictures of my newly arrived H12G below. Originally inspired by Parallax PL519, but has manifested as very much a screen drive amp in its own right..

OTL, dual mono, class A, triode strapped 6E5P as driver, screen driven 6P45S as power, auto-bias, TKD 2CP-2511 potentiometer, pre-out, min. recommended HP-impedance 100Ω, chassis 30x30 cm, weight 8.5 kg

The simple no-nonsense look works for me personally, but I suspect some will find it a bit boring. Also, this amp is not really intended for tube rolling, people with that inclination will be better served elsewhere.

As the amp only arrived a few days ago, and having limited previous OTL-experience, I need a bit of time with the amp, before I will comment on the sound. The headphones I plan to use are AKG K240DF|K340|K400|K500 and Beyerdynamic T70, and I will probably seek out others to try as well.

This being the very first Eufonika second grid amp, the model was named H12G. Wieslaw has already build a second unit for one of his regular customers, and intend to built a third unit for himself to further experiment with and improve upon the design.

It's here :)

Tube rollers dream too, I'll have to get some 6AS7G or 6080 tubes, and some 6SN7 ones too

No idea there was a thread for Eufonika amps.

I have the Eufonika H7 which i've been playing around with some tubes currently rolling gec 6080 & Reflektor 6H23-EB.

I find that if you use a 6080 the screws block the tube from fully going down however the tubes still work. 6as7g does not have this issue.

Been using the Eufonika H7 with my hd 650 & focal clear the latter which works very well with.

H7 arrived today. Happy Xmas to myself. This is a keeper. How does he do it for the money. He offered it to me a a Cyberwhateverprice that is actually a joke. Maybe not the ultimate grunt down low and a little stiff in the upper treble but it is just running for two hours. The rest is already lovely with the not burned in stock tubes.

I have a Eufonika H4 and really like it. Excellent build quality, and it pairs
really nicely with my Sennheiser HD 650, HD 600 and AKG K240 Sextetts.

In my opinion, it's excellent value at $400.

I was close to pulling the trigger on the H6 before Covid job insecurity made me hesitate. Seem like good products for the money so would welcome more listening impressions and views on build quality etc.

Update: 3/01/21 - I have been using my Eufonika H4 with my Sennheiser HD600, HD6XX and AKG K240 Sextetts
for the past 14 months, and consider the H4 to be an ideal pairing with each of these headphones. Despite their
being difficult to drive, the H4 puts out plenty of voltage; so much so, that it is loafing along while driving these
headphones. Even the 600 ohm Sextett. Moreover, the midrange with the H4 and any of these headphones is extremely
transparent, and the H4 truly excels with all types of acoustic music.

IMHO, for those searching for a high end OTL headphone amp, the law of diminishing returns begins with Eufonika H4.

It is an excellent value at just under $400 US.

Earlier..

Have had my H4 since January 2020 and really like it. Very well built with excellent quality parts. Soundwise, the H4 is slightly rolled
off in the bass and treble with a very open and detailed midrange. It works very well with my higher impedance headphones.

However, in my experience It really does not have enough power for my planar magnetics though.

IMHO this amp is great value at around $400 US. I'd expect the H6 to be even better sonically.
