Is it just me, or do the ety ER6s look really weak, like you could crush them between your fingers? It may be just me, but i think they look really weak.

They look frail, the cables are really thin.

I do think they are of good quality, though.. Ask me again in a half year!

the wire broke inside the rubber housing on my old er6, which caused one side of the earphone not to have sound. the earphone housing is also made of rubber, so if you have long nails like me, you might break the housing while putting them in or taking them out. the er6i has plastic housing, so i think it is more durable.

They do seem kind of "weak" as you put it. But I've had mine for a year and have had no problems with them at all. Use them pretty much daily around campus and everywhere else, studying, playing, parks... the like. I've enjoyed every minute of it. I've even had the plugs yanked out of my ears by grabbing the wires on things (not fun but it has happened a few times) and the wires have held up just fine.

The thinness (if that's a word) of the wires makes them easier to handle and much lighter when walking around. I don't find them to be frail at all.
