Just wondering if anyone has every seen anyone using Ety's? Besides yourself. I know I never have. I was at my daughter's swim meet today. (she qualified for Regional Championships, proud Dad). Real noisy pool area. I had my iPod and Ety's. I was totally isolated from the noise, just nice jazz and great swimmers. Ety's continue to amaze.

Well, Singapore is not a place known for people with taste in headphones - mostly Sony streetstyles, cheapo earbuds - and I've definitely not seen anybody using them.

I think one of the reasons is that Etys, despite their portability, are hardly the kind of phones I'd use when on the move: the microphonic effect is just too much for comfort, and the hefty price tag prevents me from subjecting it to rough use. I use it mainly for monitoring purposes at home or when I really need the isolation.

definitely not an on the move kind of phone. the microphonic is too much. it has replaced the mx500 for the 1.3hr train ride each day.

i really want the etys for this reason. to use in public. although, they are 270 for the good ones and i dont know if i want to buy the er6 for 130... when i know ill want the er4 right away.. and i kinda want the Beyer 770 pro for deep bass. hmmm ahh desicions.. maybe i could get the er6 and the 770... hmm...

i used to swim... made it to districts finals. what events does your daughter swim in?? i was in the 100yd breast and 500free and 200IM. the im and 500 are tough. i just like the fun watersports, like bodysurfing, kayaking, rafting, wakeboarding, and so on...
