Hi all, hi etymotic team!
First impressions: it's fantastic. Sound is neutral, clear, wide......
My beyerdynamic dt880 produce more harsh and distorted sound.
It is really HI-END phones.
Silicone eartips hurts my earcanal(cause it's smaller, than normal), so i listening with foam eartips(they are very comfortable for me)
Tomorrow i will take photo of my etys with my CANON 10D(6MP).

I am, even as I write, auditioning a pair of ety's that a very kind friend allowed me to borrow over the weekend. I am interested in a pair, but wasn't sure if I wanted to buy without listening.

I am liking them quite a bit! I am using a one of the white tips right now.

I think they may complement well my new MD gear, which is great for commuting. Paired, an MD player with etys, quite a good traveling pair.

I hope you enjoy yours very much.

Glad you are enjoying them. They will provide many hours of enjoyment. Remember to keep your ears clean and make sure your ears are dry before inserting them. Water and wax are the 2 biggest enemies of the filters. With proper care each set of filters will last a long time.

Now you should go listen to all your music and see what you have been missing.

but dt880 distorted? it's the opposite
I have owned ety er4p before.. I find that 880 is like etys alot , but with more air and larger soundstage , and more slamming bass.
They're so similar in the flat frequency range that I find those etys owners who want to compliment their ety will like 880 immediately
Perhaps your amp has not enough power to drive 880

I'm not using dt880 with portable MD. With MD i'm using ER-4S.

I have compared my Etys to my friend's SENNHEISERs HD600. I can't believe that Etys sound is more natural and wide. I can hear with them all music details, but with SENNHEISERs i can't.
Also Etys are more natural at highs then Beyerdynamic dt880. I think there are some distortion at Beyerdynamic highs.
