Evo is the new Etymotic flagship that will be out soon. It is triple BA driver earphone, the first for Etymotic, post your impressions and discussions here.

I'm super curious about how they're going to price the Evo. The $300-500 midfi chifi competition has really stepped it up so itll be interesting to see how they try to price this. At the same time. I'm also intrigued by the cable as the past Etymotic products I've used (HF5 and ER4XR) had some seriously bad microphonics (probably weakest part of the product imo).

proprietary connection plug? balanced cable included? ~or we have to wait and buy like Senns for bal cable😆

I believe @EtyDave said it would use an IPX connection for the detachable cable. Not as common, but also not proprietary. If there isn't anything they've done to make them proprietary *cough* notched MMCX *cough*, it shouldn't be too difficult to find cables for it. I think UE uses this connector now too.
